AGNIESZKA WIELEWSKA

descriptoion:

Mary is a girl full of emotion and a deep belief in honesty. She possesses both knowledge and luck—something envied by two not-so-serious but rather cunning paleontologists who buy her archaeological discoveries: fossils. She spends her days by the sea, searching for traces of the passing time. She says that after losing her beloved father, she, too, feels a little like a fossil. It is her sensitivity and connection to the past that allow her to uncover traces invisible to others. But without her passion, patience, and integrity—both with herself and others—we would have never heard her name. We would not know of a little girl who became the great paleontologist Mary Anning, who lived in southern England at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and whose life inspired this play.

We live in a world filled with computers, airplanes, robots, and countless modern conveniences. Mary Anning lived in a time when none of these had been invented yet. And dinosaurs lived in a world where humans did not yet exist. The history of the Earth is full of strange twists, isn’t it? But what if we could all—humans and prehistoric creatures alike—travel back to Mary Anning’s time and see what these giant lizards think about people and the world we have built? Together with her, let’s marvel at the thrill of uncovering the past.
