ABOUT THE EXHIBITION - WINDOWS

The meaning of the titular Windows is both literal and metaphorical. Some paintings depict views seen through a window frame: a shadowed black border framing the space. These are paintings within paintings, introducing a metanarrative. Elsewhere, the presence of a window must be inferred—only subtle glints and reflections hint at a barely perceptible pane of glass. Finally, in works where no window frame is visible at all, the paintings themselves seem to become windows, offering a glimpse into an interior world. And within that world, there is usually stillness—a quiet focus on light, immobility, and moments of contemplation.

These windows are not meant for peering or spying but rather for creating a cohesive whole—something to gaze into. Carefully composed, precisely illuminated, and predominantly in warm tones, they invite a sense of calm and introspection.
