The exhibition “Resiliencies” by Agnieszka Wielewska accompanies the international academic conference(Post)dependence Resiliencies. Representations of Liberation from Violence in Literature and Culture,organized by the University of Gdańsk on 20–21 October 2025.
The conference is dedicated to the theme of resilience — both psychological and cultural — in the face of violence, trauma, and the legacy of historical experience in Central and Eastern Europe. Scholars from various countries will explore how literature, art, and other forms of expression can become spaces for processing violence, reclaiming agency, and building new narratives of identity.

The exhibition presents paintings in which art becomes a space of balance, reflection, and confrontation with emotions. The works are on view at the Main Library of the University of Gdańsk (Room 1.22, 1st floor) from 17 October to 17 November 2025.

Agnieszka Wielewska will also take part in a discussion panel on mental health in artistic professions, held on 22 October 2025 at the Nadbałtyckie Centrum Kultury (Old Town Hall, Gdańsk).
