The WRZESZCZ W CISZY exhibition showcases the paintings of Agnieszka Wielewska, interpreting the space of the Gdańsk district of Wrzeszcz. It is a contemplation of urban spaces that hold a calming and soothing potential. The paradoxical oxymoron in the title ("shouting in silence") actually refers to one of Gdańsk’s districts. Rather than a manifesto for expressing emotions loudly, it is an attempt to find oneself within the city. It explores the possibility of discovering intimacy, delicacy, and reflection in an environment that is inherently dynamic and overstimulating.

 

 

The project aligns with the artist's ongoing creative exploration—urban depictions with an affirming character, where tranquil compositions and a warm color palette enriched with deep chiaroscuro serve as her distinctive means of expression.
